The story behind Gray Skies, Dark Waters

I began writing the narrative that would become Gray Skies, Dark Waters when I was a sophomore at the University of Virginia. Along with one of my classmates, Abigail Goetman-Pickering, I founded Green Willow Games and ran a successful Kickstarter. During the rest of my time at UVA, I wrote all the game’s dialogue and narrative systems. Abigail produced and programmed the game. Between the two of us, we managed a large cast of independent contractors, including artists, voice actors, and musicians.

A year after I graduated, Abigail and I released Gray Skies, Dark Waters to positive critical reception.

Creative director: Elizabeth Ballou. Producer/programmer: Abigail Goetman-Pickering.
